   Bently Nevada Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systems are designed to measure absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The two-wire systems consist of a transducer and appropriate cable.
   The Seismoprobe family of velocity transducers is a two-wire design that uses moving-coil technology. It provides a voltage output directly proportional to the transducer's vibration velocity.
   Moving-coil transducers are less sensitive to impact or impulsive excitation than solid-state velocity transducers, which are inherently accelerometers with embedded integration electronics. Moving-coil transducers are less sensitive to impact or impulsive excitation and can represent a good choice for certain applications. Because they don't require external
power, they are convenient for portable measurement
applications.
Available Types
Two types of Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer are available:
9200: The 9200 is a two-wire transducer suitable for continuous monitoring or for periodic measurements in conjunction with test or diagnostic instruments. When ordered with the integral cable option, the 9200 has excellent resistance to corrosive environments without need of additional protection.
74712: The 74712 is a high temperature version of the 9200. Interconnect cables are available for connecting the 9200 and 74712 transducers to other instruments. These cables are available in various lengths with or without stainless steel armor. When ordering the 9200 and 74712 Seismoprobe Velocity Transducers, expect approximately a six week lead time. That lead time can vary based on component availability and configuration. For projected lead times for your specific order, contact your local Bently Nevada representative.

About 3300 XL System

The 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System is composed of one 3300 XL 8 mm probe, one 3300 XL extension cable, and one 3300 XL Proximitor sensor. It outputs a voltage linearly proportional to the gap between the probe tip and the target conductive surface, enabling both static position and dynamic vibration readings. Its main uses are vibration and position monitoring on fluid-film bearing machinery, plus Keyphasor reference and speed measurement. The system offers the most advanced performance among eddy-current proximity transducers; the standard 5-meter configuration meets API 670 requirements for mechanical layout, linear range, accuracy, and thermal stability. Every 3300 XL 8 mm system supports full interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors without component matching or bench calibration. All 3300 XL 8 mm parts remain backward compatible and interchangeable with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm components, including the 3300 5 mm probe for installations where an 8 mm probe is too large.

Bently Nevada 3300 XL probe and extension cable
The 3300 XL probe and extension cable incorporate a patented TipLoc molding method that creates a stronger bond between the probe tip and the probe body. The cable features a patented CableLoc design that provides 330 N (75 lbf) of pull strength, ensuring a more secure connection between the probe cable and the probe tip. An optional FluidLoc cable option is available for 3300 XL 8 mm probes and extension cables, which prevents oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable's interior.

Bently Nevada Connectors
All 3300 XL probe, extension cable and Proximitor sensor terminations use corrosion-resistant, gold-plated ClickLoc connectors that seal with simple finger torque and emit a clear click when the built-in locking mechanism engages, preventing loosening without special tools. Connector protectors can be ordered factory-installed or supplied separately for field runs through tight conduit, and their use is advised for every installation to give the junctions extra environmental protection.
Extended Temperature Range Applications
For situations where the probe tip or extension cable must work above the standard 177 °C (350 °F) limit, an Extended Temperature Range (ETR) probe rated to 218 °C (425 °F) and an ETR extension cable rated to 260 °C (500 °F) are available. Both ETR parts mate with standard-temperature 3300 XL components, so an ETR probe can be paired with an ordinary 330130 cable if desired. The system continues to use the standard 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor; however, the moment any ETR element is introduced, overall accuracy is governed by the ETR specification rather than the standard system accuracy.
Description Notes:
1. 1-metre systems do not use an extension cable.
2. Proximitor sensors are supplied by default from the factory calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. Calibration to other target materials is available upon request.
3. Consult Bently Nevada Applications Note, Considerations when using Eddy Current Proximity Probes for Overspeed Protection Applications, when considering this transducer system for tachometer or overspeed measurements.
4. 3300 XL 8 mm components are both electrically and physically interchangeable with non-XL 3300 5 mm and 8 mm components. Although the packaging of the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor differs from its predecessor, its design fits in the same 4-hole mounting pattern when used with the 4-hole mounting base, and will fit within the same mounting space specifications when minimum permissible cable bend radius is observed.
5. Mixing XL and non-XL 3300-series 5 mm and 8 mm system components limits system performance to the specifications for the non-XL 3300 5 mm and 8 mm Transducer System.
6. The 3300-series 5 mm probe uses smaller physical packaging, but does not reduce the side view clearances or tip-to-tip spacing requirements as compared to an 8 mm probe. It is used when physical constraints preclude the use of an 8 mm probe. When your application requires narrow side view probes, use the 3300 NSy Proximity Transducer System.
7. 8 mm probes provide a thicker encapsulation of the probe coil in the molded PPS plastic probe tip. This results in a more rugged probe. The larger diameter of the probe body also provides a stronger, more robust case. We recommend that you use 8 mm probes when possible to provide optimal robustness against physical abuse.
8. Each 3300 XL extension cable includes silicone tape that you can use instead of connector protectors. We do not recommend silicone tape for applications that will expose the probe-to-extension cable connection to turbine oil.
